Well it's been almost a year since I've updated any news on here. For more up to date info, go to www.bandofheathens.com. The past year has been busy though. Last month we released our second studio album as the Band of Heathens. It's called One Foot in the Ether. We've been across the country a few times, overseas a few times, and were asked to do a taping for the legendary TV show, Austin City Limits this summer. It's airing on PBS soon. Definitely a highlight of the year.I've had the privilege to write songs with my friends Adam Carroll, Owen Temple, and Jason Eady. You should check out their records. Also, check out this guy named Gary Floater. Pretty funny if you ask me.

This year's been incredible. Thanks for supporting live music, buying records you love, and spreading the word. We (The Heathens) just got back from a great run of shows in Europe and we can't wait to go back at the end of January. Thank you Blue Rose for bringing us over. We've got some fun shows coming up with Hayes Carll, Adam Carroll and Jason Eady at the end of this month before heading back to Colorado for a few weeks in January. It's been good having some time to write the last few months, and we're looking forward to getting back in the studio. Hope to see you soon, and thanks again for an incredible year.

After 14 weeks in the top 10, and 11 weeks in the top 5 of the Americana Radio Chart, The Band of Heathens self titled debut album has reached #1 on the chart! Thanks to all the radio stations around the country that have been spinning the album!

The Heathens self-titled debut has hit #2 on the Americana Radio Chart and #1 on the EuroAmericana Chart. This summer has been busy touring from the East Coast, Midwest, Southeast, the Rocky Mountains and all of Texas. Thanks to everybody coming ou to the shows! The Heathens will be in Texas for the month of May, and then June, July
and August will find them in NYC, Chicago, Washington D.C., North Carolina,
Atlanta, Louisiana, Mississippi, Colorado, Utah, Indiana, Kentucky and
Tennessee among other places. Catch them if you can!

SXSW was a blur of tight jeans, CaliforniAustin, and rock 'n' roll. The
Heathens stayed plenty busy and had a good time meeting people from all
over the place.
Now that things are getting back to normal, the Heathens
are going back to a weekly residency while they're in town, only this
time, you can catch them most Thursdays at 8pm at the Saxon
Pub.

Music Awards, John Chipman was recognized as the #1 Drummer in Austin.
